July Hibiscus

Day 5 & 6:  Art Every Day Month

I missed posting yesterday.  I have been making art every day, since November 1, and then posting it the next day.  I’ve been working on several things at the same time these past few days and didn’t get anything finished to post yesterday.

This is a small acrylic painting of a beautiful yellow hibiscus bloom from my Mom’s garden.  Here in South Carolina, we had record breaking heat during the month of July with something like 10 days in a row over a 100 degrees.  Add that to our already ridiculous humidity and well; it’s really, really miserably hot.  But these hibiscus just smiled right on through it.
